Fitzbillies restaurant is located next door to the shop. We are open at 9am for coffee and pastries, lunches, afternoon teas and evening meals. We have been awarded Best Fine Dining in Cambridge by Local Secrets.
Our restaurant has an intimate and friendly atmosphere, free from mobile phones and piped music! Our chefs are dedicated to offering the best of local produce, with seasonal variations. We are just four minutes' walk from the Cambridge Arts Theatre and the Corn Exchange, and close to many colleges and churches that offer concerts and recitals throughout the year. We advise customers to be seated no later than 6.15 for pre-theatre bookings. Our current menus can be found at Local Secrets.
The shop
The shop is located in the midst of the colleges and attracts students and local people as well as tourists. We are renowned for our ultra-sticky Chelsea buns. Our staff of craft bakers are dedicated to producing the very best of traditional pastries and confectionery for the Cambridge public, and for the wider public through our mail order service. We are happy to receive enquiries for special orders for birthday cakes, novelty cakes, celebration and wedding cakes.
We have a generous range of pastries and confectionery, all made in our bakery, and although we cannot promise to have the full range on any particular day, we are happy to receive enquiries/orders in advance from customers, by phone or email. This is particularly recommended if you require quantities larger than our normal daily output.
